Day program "Havana & Vardero" 14 days

Havana Pure is the base of all our dance holidays in Cuba. In week 1 you will have a intensive dance course at our danceschool in Havana. In the 2nd week you will have the choice to spend time in either Varadero, Trinidad, Santiago de Cuba, Playa del Este for 4 days, or to stay in Havana. The last 3 days we will all be back in Havana, where we will spend the next 2 days at the danceschool to get it truly right and end the trip with a big Fiesta Cubana.
Day one: Arrival at Havana
Arrival in Havana and transport to your hotel
Day two: Start dance
classes and for every participant an own dance partner
In the morning we start off with an welcome drink and a short
explanation of the dance program. After this you will get a short
tour through Havana Vieja (the old town) mainly to show you where
you can find the important shops and the bank. In the afternoon the
real dance program will start. The team of viaDanza will give you
demonstrations of dance styles and tell you about the history of the
Cuban music and dance. Afterwards every participant will be
appointed an level of experience in salsa and you now will get your
own dance partner.
The first lesson will start with rhythm and dance
classes.
Day three; Lessons at the dance school in Havana
After breakfast you will go to the dance school in Havana where you
will participate
the lessons from 10:00 am till 1:00 pm.
In the afternoon you can bring a visit to the “Castilla de la Fuarza”.
This Castilla is the
oldest fortress of Havana. Here you can look at
the famous statue “La Geraldina”.
This female figure is the symbol
of Havana. You probable recognise her from the
Havana Club rum
label.
Day four: A visit to
the rum museum and a salsa matinee
In the morning you start off with your daily three hours dance
classes. Afterwards
you can join one of the tours through the rum
museum at Havana. In the afternoon
it is possible to join the group
to visit a salsa matinee at one of the Casa de la Musica”.
If you
decide to do something different this day, we like to suggest a
stroll at the
“Malecon”, also known as the boulevard of passion.
Day five: The
dance floors of the sparkling nightlife of
Havana
Good morning!
First you will start off with another three hours of Salsa classes.
In the afternoon
you have some free time on your hands. We suggest
you could go to the nearby
beach “Playa del Este”. This is day four
of your salsa trip, and you are now able to
enjoy the rich nightlife
of Havana. The team of viaDanza will keep you informed of
the daily
agenda concerning salsa and dancing. Of course when there are enough
participants, viaDanza will arrange a taxi and dance partners to
join you at the nightlife
in Havana.
Day six: Varedero
Four grazy salsa days you have adventured. Today we are
leaving for the "Laguna Vamos". In the morning we leave with an
shuttle bus to Varadero. The name says it all "Varadero". The name
originates from "Varar" which means beaches and that is what you are
going to experience the coming 5 days; Beaches and relaxation on the
pearl white beach that exists out of a 100% fine white sand!
Day seven: Sleep in and relax
Sleep in and have breakfast, that is what you
will start the days with. After this you can enjoy the crystal blue
water and lie on a sun bed and stare at the sea and try to find the
right position to sunbathe. In comparising with Havana this will be
the ultimate rest and we will let you enjoy the Caribbean atmosphere
of your all inclusive accommodation in Varadero.
Dag eight: exploring Varadero
Beside the beautiful beaches Varadero will offer
you great opportunities to fill your days. The city of Varadero has
beautiful squares and shops. You can visit "Casa de la Cultura" a
Cuban theather that will offer you dance and music. In the evening
we will visit the "Marina Puerto sol
Dársena de Varadero"
in Lagua de Paso Malo.
Day nine and ten: on the water or below?
Yet two sunny days to go on the beach that was reserved
during a period of about 60 years for millionaires. The underwater
adventure is one that you can not miss in "Cayo Piedra de Norte".
Four ship wreaks and a crashed airplane lie here underwater on about
15-27 metres depth. Also the fauna of the sea is magic, crystal
clear water makes it worth while to explore with a snorkel.
Day eleven:
We start this day of with the dance classes. Afterwards you
can stroll around town. Try a “Daiquiri” in Ernest Hemingway’s
favourite bar “La Floridita”. After that you can enjoy
Cuba’s best
ice-cream at “Heladeria Coppelia”.
At night it yet again “salsa” you will enjoy. Around the whole of
Havana you can dance
at the rhythm of the Latin American Music
Day nine and day ten: Paradise
After 8 very hot salsa days you can have a paradise
time-out. The beach of Playa del Este
is easy to reach by bus or
taxi. Kilometres of sandy beaches, palms and the soft hum
of the
Ocean will bring you into ecstasy. Here you can enjoy a Caribbean
long drink at the beach bar and dream away with the though of a live
in the Caribbean!
Day eleven: City of Manazas
Our last dat in Varadero. When you want to explore more then
we can advise you to visit the province city of Mananzas. On your
way to this city you will pass Rio Canivar. You can float this river
and its beautiful rainforest by booking a boat ride with Cubamar.
The evening we will spend together enjoying the culinary offer of
our hotel and we will discuss our trip back to "spicy" Havana.
Day twelve: Back in Havana
We are back in Old Havana. In the afternoon we will learn
you, during the dance classes, new figures. In the evening you can
enjoy your time off and can explore more of this lively city. Maybe
a Ernest Hemmingway tour and visit the great writers favorit Havana
spots like "Bodequita del Medeo" where Hemmingway used to enjoy his
Mojito. The night is young and all yours!
Day thirteen: The Finca
A special salsa-highlight today! We are taking a shuttle bus
to the countryside and visit our "Finca". A beautiful surrounding of
meadows, lakes and palm trees. You will enjoy your last salsa day
here and say goodbye to our viaDanza team under the pleasure of a
pool and cocktails. The evening will close with an Creole Barbeque
and you will have that last dance with your dance partner.
Day fourteen:
Today is yours!
U can enjoy the rest of the city, maybe buy some souvenirs or just
sit on a terrace and watch the Cuban daily life.
Then it is time to say goodbye to everyone and we will transport you
by bus to the
airport from where you will fly home.
Day fifteen:
Arrival in Europe
