Viadanza,
the main organisation
Viadanza is of origin a German organisation that has been set
up by Helena Bernardo and her partner
Ulrich Fichtner.
They have years of experience organising
dance holidays to cuba.

History:
viaDanza started in the
Netherlands
in 2005.
The first two people involved were Karen Beerends - Darroman Charles
and Elona Waisapy.
Karen had been staying in
Cuba
several times, and during one of these stays she met Ulrich
Fichtner and the viaDanza team.
She was so impressed by the quality and the
professional way viaDanza organised their trips that she
wanted to start up the business in the Netherlands as well.
Her main goal was to make the groups more international!
Today:
viaDanza today is guided by Karen Beerends Darroman
Charles in Cuba and Minou Spits in the Netherlands. Their aim is to
be able to venture
the Dutch and international market.
Karen, after she had seen large parts of the world during her
travels, came to
Cuba
for the first time
in 1999, she felt directly connected with the
contagious passionate lifestyle of the inhabitants. She decided to
establish herself in Havana during the winter months.
In that period she has conquered a spot in the Cuban dance
world and contracted cooperation with the German organisation
ViaDanza, viaDanza has an exclusive contract with the famous oldest
dancing school of Havana. Karen was impressed by the high quality dance
lessons and the perfect organisation of the travel which are
organised to Cuba.
Minou has done many things, among a year abroad, worked some
years as a manager within a large Dutch venture.
Thereby she has gained much experience with the structures and
processes to be able to lead an organisation. The years of
friendship and their expertise in several areas have brought Karen
and Minou together to join in "spirit of havana"
